The Agriturismo Casa al Bosco is located in Loc. Cozzano - 56048 Volterra (PI) is easily accessible from various locations - Bologna-Florence - Rome - Siena - Genoa - La SpeziaGPS: 43° 27'20.91'' N - 10° 53'10.72'' E
When you arrive in Firenze take the speedway SGC Fi-PI-LI (Firenze-Pisa-Livorno) in FIRENZE SCANDICCI towards PISA/LIVORNO. After about 28 kilometers you arrive in Empoli Ovest where you have to go down the superstrada, turn right in the roundabout and follow the signs towards SIENA/CASTELFIORENTINO.
Continue on the SS429/SR429 and pass trough the villages of Ponte a Elsa, Brusciana, Molin Nuovo, Cambiano and Castelfiorentino.
From Castelfiorentino just follow the VIA VOLTERRANA (signs Volterra) and you will pass trough the villages of Case Nuove, Pillo, Borgoforte, Gambassi Terme and Il Castagno (Castagno Val D'Elsa).
After about 600 meters from the Castagno you will find a curve where you have to turn right, towards Volterra.
Most part of GPS will then lead you left, after other 600 meters towards BAGNI DI MUMMIALLA but we suggest to go on and drive straight on, as the unsealed road often is in very bad conditions.
So just go straight for another 11 kilometers when you arrive at a crossing where you have to turn left (before the bridge!) towards COLLE VAL D'ELSA. After about 2 kilometers you will arrive again at a crossing where you don't have to follow the main road but turn left/straight towards COZZANO (you will also find the indication Casalbosco). After some meters (about 500 meters) you will pass a little bridge where the road becomes unsealed. From here just follow the gravel road for another 3,5 kilometers and you will arrive on the top of the private road to our Agriturismo.
On the highway towards FIRENZE exit in SIENA-BETOLLE and go on towards SIENA. When arrived in SIENA go on on the speedway (raccordo FI-SI 4 courses) always towards FIRENZE.
Exit in COLLE VAL D'ELSA and take the SR68 towards VOLTERRA.
About 4 kilometers before arriving in VOLTERRA you arrive at a crossing (Loc. RONCOLLA) and see a sign to the right PISA/PONTEDERA. Just follow this road, go down the hill and you will arrive in the plain (Loc. PRATO D'ERA). There you go right following the directions to COZZANO/ULIGNANO, CASALBOSCO. Just after some meters you go left pass a little bridge and follow this road (it will become gravelroad) for about 4 kilometers.
This road is called Via Vicinale di Poggio Gennaio on the GPS.
Exit at PISA AEROPORTO (Airport) and follow the "S.G.C." - Speedway in direction to "FIRENZE". Then exit in "PONTEDERA / PONSACCO" and follow the indications for "CAPANNOLI" and "VOLTERRA". After some kilometres you drive through a village called "LA STERZA". Follow the main street always in direction for VOLTERRA, turning left on the next main crossing. About 10 kilometres before VOLTERRA you will find on your left hand side a gas station and a restaurant, called "MOLINO D'ERA". You can see the indication for VOLTERRA on your right hand side. Ignore this and stay on the main street (left). Cross a big bridge and after this bridge turn right ("COLLE VAL D'ELSA" and continue for about 2 kilometres.
The main street continues in a bend turning right. You have to go straight, leaving the main street, following the direction for "COZZANO". After some kilometres the sealed road becomes unsealed. Stay on this road for another 3 kilometres until you will see our Agriturismo on your left hand side, which you can reach by a small private road.
